Langø boat club is located at the far end of Nakskov fjord which is an attractive sailing destination for those seeking quiet and peaceful surroundings.
The boat club has great bathing facilities as well as a beautiful clubhouse that sailors and campers can use free of charge. It has a fantastic view of sunsets over the Langelandsbæltet. You can also watch sunsets from cosy barbecue areas while children play on a newly laid out playground nearby. It‘s possible to borrow bicycles to cycle around the area. You can stop by the fishing port to buy fresh fish and see the fishermen coming back from the sea with their day‘s catch. Finally, the boat club has pitches for motorhomes, kayak bridges as well as a possibility to lift your boat up (up to 8 tones) if in need.
Nakskov fjord is often named as Denmark‘s richest fjord with lots of opportunities for picturesque sailing trips. You may sail to Enehøje island where it is possible to trot around certain parts of the island or to Slotø to see the ruins of the combined Castle and shipyard called Engelsborg. Another fantastic scenic area is on the Elbow where you can go ashore and see rare animals and plants as well as an old lighthouse.
