Access from the sea
The entrance to Papissaare harbor is along a natural waterway. The harbor is formed by a WSW projecting main pier, connected to the mainland. The harbor is not protected from the strong S winds. Depths on the map are given at 0 water level. The depth at the quay is the smallest depth measured at a distance of 0.5m from the edge of the quay.

Visit
Papissaare harbor has historically been an important place for sailors. During World War I, there was a Russian seaplane base in Papissaare harbour, which has been preserved as a technical monument to this day. At the end of the 19th century, large sailing ships were built there. In 1935, the Papissaare Shipyard started operating there, thus a commemorative stone is erected for shipbuilders in the harbour.
